Practical hands-on experience

 

With over 40 years of practical experience as a senior executive, business owner, business builder and consultant across dozens of industries, Julian has been instrumental in building up numerous organisations, and businesses through planned growth, organizational and culture changes; transforming the lives and businesses of a multitude of people through his great ability to foster change through his caring attitude, vision focus and bottom line realism.

 

In April 2005 he formed a Hunter club of Business Swap, a dynamic organization focused on personal and professional growth and in October 2006 he was named "President of the Year, 2006" by Business Swap Australia for his efforts in building this successful club.

 

In November 2014 he was awarded The Melvin Jones Fellowship by Lions Clubs International Foundation this recognition of humanitarian work, may be used to recognise outstanding Lions or members of the general public. Lions Clubs world-wide recognise outstanding individuals by bestowing on them an award that is named for its founder, Melvin Jones. This award is the highest form of recognition and embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism. The recipient of this award becomes a model of exemplary service to his club and the community which it serves.

Julian's academic credentials are numerous and all add credibility to his presentation. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer retd,  and  a Fellow of the Institute of Leaders and Management.

 

After serving as a Squadron Leader in the RAAF, Julian has held various senior managerial, marketing and engineering appointments with ICI, the British Broadcasting Corporation, the Rank Organisation, AAMI, Normalair-Garrett, Fellowes, the Hunter Business Enterprise Centre, Sefton & Loudon Chartered Accountants and Turnbull Hill Lawyers. He is also a Past National President of Business Swap International.
